This year, for the first time, we participated in the international online competition URSA Awards 2019, held annually by the editorial team of Bears&Buds magazine.
There are several categories in the competition, each of which can be exhibited only one toy. We participated in two categories at once, we were represented by bears Gregory and Tikhon.
Voting takes place in two rounds. Everyone can take part in the voting, first of all it is collectors who follow the new products in the world of Teddy bears. Organizers carefully make sure that the voting was fair. After the first round, there are three toys in each category that received the maximum number of votes. In the second round, toys from different categories are mixed, thus assessing the overall rating of toys among all participants of the competition. The results of the vote in both rounds are taken into account when summing up the results.
The first round of voting took place in August, and we were looking forward to its results, of course hoping for success, but not expecting to win, as the contest involved many worthy works, including from the winners of previous years. We were pleasantly surprised when both of our bear cubs reached the final!
The second round was even more exciting, we literally counted the days before the announcement of the results, and here, finally, the long-awaited letter of congratulations! Both of our bear took the prizes: Gregory took second place in his category, and Tikhon – won!
